Snow Angels Record Attempt Canceled

I just read on Syracuse.com that the attempt to break the world record for the most snow angels in one place has been canceled for tomorrow. From Syracuse.com News Updates!

Too much snow for snow angels

Because of all the snow, and projected wind chills in the teens, Winterfest and Syracuse school district officials postponed Thursday's attempt for a Guinness world record for most snow angels in one place. Officials are now exploring the possibility of going for the world record in late February.

Go figure! Who'da thunk *that* would ever happen? Too much snow for snow angels... that's too funny!

How about maybe going for a record on the *deepest* snow angels? I could see the new story afterwards...

LOL Jill, yeah I don't think that would be the kind of publicity that Syracuse would want floating in the news stories across the country :)

Umm, Rochester is riding your back now Jill. Somebody there better do a snow dance or something :P

Wasn't there a year where they had to postpone the whole Winterfest because of too much snow...and then the time they had rescheduled it for, all the snow melted by then?

For whatever reason something like that is sticking in my head.

lesyr, I kind of remember Syracuse getting puonded like a week or two before the Winterfest and people thinking there would be snow for the fest. But then we got into some really warm weather and all the snow melted. If I get a chance I'll try to find out. I think your right though.

Jill, No, No, No to the smiles doing the dance. Nice try though :) You have to get out there and do it. Advise would be to do it like I do, in the middle of the night when the neighbors are sleeping so you don't see a white padded van show up while in the middle of the snow dance :) I can see it now, "Neighbor goes wacky, details at 11:00"

Rock City is only 5 inches away from you now :(
