Winter Storm Warnings for New York

Well finally it looks lie it's a go for some decent snow and it's about time. At last check I think Binghamton, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse were all under winter storm warnings for a good part of tomorrow into Friday.

From reading around the general amounts seem to be in the 8 - 12 inch range and if it stalls a couple of cities could get more. Remember I'm clueless and with that in mind it's looking like Binghamton could may make out the best.

Good Luck and Drive Careful Everyone!

according to accuweather, we already have 7.2 inches and it's only 540pm.. afternoon classes were canceled today up here at SU, which was surprising.. hopefully we'll get more than expected over night, it sure is about time we got a storm!!

Looks like Cuse is going to grow their lead putting them in good shape for the trophy again. Still some winter left though. Will report in the am.

Adam, I'm loving it. I think with the lack of snow so far this season that the schools were anxious to get a snow day in. I think they extended the storm warning from 7am to Noon so perhaps another snow day tomorrow. LET IT SNOW!!!

Jesse, Go Cuse!!!

ZR, Earlier it looked like the snow was staying more to the East of the Rock and Buffalo but then it looked like it was covering all of NY :) I haven't had a chance to check the official stats yet but we shoveled about 5 inches this morning and around another 8 - 9 tonight and it's still coming down pretty good and steady. Hopefully the Big 3 will be on top in the nationals come morning ;)

Well, it looks to me like the ROC might pull ahead of Buffalo by quite a bit today. If you click on my name link, it'll take you to the weather announcement, which includes almost 9 inches for Rochester airport, with under 3 for Buffalo airport. Awwww!

This is more like the winter weather I was expecting and I'm glad to finally have some snow worth mentioning.

Looks like Cuse & Bingo picked up a lot more snow prior to midnight this mornign than did ROC. Guess we'll have to wait until later today or tomorrow to see the standings after this storm.
